We bring students from Utah and Mali together.
Our goal is to empower youth who want to make a difference by collaborating on service learning, ambassadorships, and fundraising activities which directly support our health and education programs in Ouelessebougou.
We partner with schools and community groups to teach youth how to become effective global citizens by providing a learning curriculum, which helps students understand they are part of an interconnected society. Our program helps students develop respect for individuals from different backgrounds and learn how to engage globally with knowledge, tolerance and compassion. We also provide virtual options for at-home learning and engagement.
Sister School Partnership
When we partner with Utah schools, we offer “student-to-student” cross-cultural experiences which connect Utahan and Malian students in meaningful projects that increase intercultural understanding within their school communities. School are paired with one of our elementary schools in the Ouelessebougou region and throughout the school year, students will have opportunities to engage with and fundraise for their sister school.
When youth become connected to a humanitarian cause, they naturally want to help. Our partnership program combines learning objectives with service opportunities to empower students to tackle real-life problems. We work with student leaders, teachers, and community groups to create meaningful activities which help raise funds, advocacy, and awareness for the Ouelessebougou community.
Our ambassadorship program is dedicated to providing college-age students opportunities to build leadership skills, cultural understanding and global engagement. The one-year program allows ambassadors to take an active role in learning about international development and the non-profit community, and coordinating sustainable projects to address Malian health and education issues.
